Choose the kind of journey, not just the setting

A room to understand

A handcrafted puzzle asks you to inspect a particular arrangement. The pleasure is often the shift from seeing a collection of obstacles to understanding how they relate. Dungeons of Dreadrock represents that route in this atlas. A dungeon can be a setting for reasoning without becoming a game about optimising a character sheet.

A route to improvise

A generated environment makes uncertainty part of your plan. You cannot assume that the next attempt will ask the same question in the same way. Caves adds excavation to this idea. Consider whether discovering a new situation makes a setback interesting enough to try again; repetition is not rewarding to everyone.

A world to inhabit

A role-playing world gives places meaning through people, factions and quests. Paign points in that direction. If you like returning after a break, think about how much context you enjoy remembering. The richer social premise does not automatically make it the right alternative to a compact puzzle.

Before following any route

Compare the current purchase information and device requirements on Google Play. These are editorial interpretations of listings, not tests of difficulty, stability or touchscreen accuracy. A useful shortlist reduces the number of questions you need to ask; it should not pretend to answer what has not been tested.
